How much does the program cost?

Eligible businesses can access up to five hours of one-on-one mentoring and business support for a heavily subsidised fee of $110 (including GST).
There is support available for those that meet the program hardship requirements, which allows us to waive the above cost completely.

What topics can I receive support with?

Our advisors can provide support across a broad range of business and digital capability areas, including:

  • Marketing and social media
  • Websites and online presence
  • Business software and systems
  • Artificial intelligence and automation
  • Cyber security
  • Digital skills and confidence
  • Business growth opportunities

Our goal is to help you identify practical opportunities that can strengthen your business and support your growth.

Do I need to know exactly what support I need before registering?

No.

Many businesses come to us knowing they want help but aren’t entirely sure where to start. Our advisors will take the time to understand your business, discuss your goals and help identify the most valuable areas to focus on.

Can I choose my mentor?

You are welcome to let us know if there is a particular mentor you would like to work with. We will always do our best to connect you with the advisor whose experience and expertise are the best fit for your business needs.

Are mentoring sessions online or in person?

Support can often be delivered online, by phone, or in person depending on your location, needs and advisor availability. During registration we will discuss the best approach for your circumstances.

Are workshops and webinars included?

Yes.

Eligible businesses can access a range of workshops, webinars and events covering practical business and digital topics. Additional resources and recorded content may also be available through the program.

How do I register?

Getting started is easy.

You can:

Can I attend workshops without doing mentoring?

Yes – workshops, webinars and events are open to help you build your knowledge and confidence.

If you then want more tailored support, you can move into one-on-one mentoring.

What does it mean by 'full-time equivalent'?

When classifying a small to medium business, the Digital Solutions program uses the classification of 20 full-time equivalent staff as the upper limit for eligibility.

The term full-time equivalent is based on the amount of hours your staff work, not the amount of people working for you. For example, if a business has four staff where the owner is full time and there are three part-timers who each work two days a week, this would be considered 2.2 FTE (1 for for the owner, and 0.4 each for the staff that only work two days a week).

If you are not sure if you are eligible, please just get in touch and let’s check for you.

I already have a website and social media presence. Can Digital Solutions Tasmania still help me?

Absolutely.

Many businesses access the program to improve existing systems, strengthen their marketing, explore AI and automation opportunities, improve cyber security, refine business processes or identify new growth opportunities. Support is tailored to your specific situation and business goals.
